Discover Local Birds Bird Walk Series
Centennial Park and Auger Falls Park
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Please join us as we explore Centennial Park and Auger Falls Park for a wonderful late morning saunter identifying and admiring birds. This walk is designed for all birders – novice and experienced.
Meet up at the Mogensen Trail Parking Area with binoculars in hand. It will most likely be cold so dress accordingly. Bring along water and snacks if you need them. Bring a lunch if you think you might stay longer…
Directions (map below): Drive north on Blue Lakes Blvd. Turn left on to Canyon Springs Road. Drive down into the canyon and park at the top of the entrance to Centennial Park (Mogensen Trailhead). From there we’ll check out the birds in Centennial Park, then drive to the TF Waste Water Treatment Plant, where we will bird along the road. We’ll walk about 2 miles on gravel roads and trails.
